On January 21, I put on my Strong Women t-shirt, laced up my Merrell walking shoes, slathered on the suntan lotion and joined two of my neighbors in the Women’s March Sarasota, my first participation in such an activity. Susan, Linda and I were some of the first 100 participants to arrive. By the time we crossed the John Ringling Causeway we were over 6,000 activists strong! Women, men and children of all ages and backgrounds. It was an exhilarating experience. I can’t wait to march again.
Relay for Life is the signature fundraising event for the American Cancer Society. I love to Relay because it brings together people of diverse backgrounds to support and raise awareness for one cause – cancer!
