This note is in loving memory of my mom, Bev Koh, a woman who survived breast cancer in 1989. Although both her breasts were removed at that time, she never looked back because she was grateful to have survived such a terrible disease. Our family celebrated every year, on the anniversary of her surgery, that she was clean and healthy. She was a devoted wife, mom, grandmom and trusted friend. She was loved by so many people, her daughters, granddaughters, and even all of my friends – always being everyone’s mom. Because of her strength, I have survived many scares of my own. Yes, breast cancer runs in my family too, and because of that I faithfully get my annual mammogram. Mom for all your love, your presence is everlasting in our hearts.
